Devices for Learning
Bring your own device (BYOD) is a principle where students bring personal digital devices to class to help improve student engagement. Mobile phones are not acceptable learning devices.
BYOD: Recommended specifications for devices are below:
- Battery life: 7+ hours
- Screen size: 11 inches or more
- RAM/Memory – Minimum of 4GB (8GB is recommended)
- Hard Drive should be at least 128GB Solid State drive. (If/Where possible purchasing devices with SSD drives is advantageous as these prove to be more reliable long term)
- Wireless 802.11ac or ax standard
- Light enough to be carried around during the day
We highly recommend that devices have cases to protect them while in school bags
