Relief Teachers

We are looking for qualified teachers to join our pool of day-to-day relief teachers to start immediately, all subjects.

Previous experience working in a Special Character school or kura is an advantage but not a prerequisite.

Must be available at short notice and readily able to be contacted by phone.

Kaiako Te Reo Māori​​​​​​​/TiC Te Reo Māori/School-Wide Māori Liaison - Full-time, permanent from Term 1 2025


We are seeking a Kaiako Te Reo Māori to join our kura from Term 1 2025, to work with our ākonga, whānau and iwi, to continue to grow our programme.  The ability to teach senior reo Māori would be an advantage.  

The additional roles of Teacher in Charge: Te Reo Māori, and School-wide Māori Liaison are available to the successful candidate, depending upon experience.   The allowances attached to the roles are: one permanent MU and two non-contact periods for TiC Te Reo Māori, and one permanent MU and two non-contact periods for School-wide Māori Liaison.

Beginning teachers are welcome to apply.    If you are a beginning teacher, the areas of responsibility will be negotiated with the successful candidate.

Ministry Leader (College faith-based role)

 

This is a permanent position, 25 hours per week, term time only, commencing at the start of the 2025 school year.

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Catholic Cathedral College for a Ministry Leader to lead our Encounter with Christ and Christian Witness initiatives for our rangatahi from Year 7 to Year 13, at our central city site.  We are seeking a passionate, professional and experienced Ministry Leader who is an active member of their Catholic parish faith community, and  who will take the lead for the development and delivery of our Ministry programmes.

Applicants must hold Aotearoa New Zealand residency, and hold a full driver licence.   

Police vetting will be undertaken for the successful applicant, who will also commit to the safeguarding principles of the National Office of Professional Standards of the Catholic Church of New Zealand.
