At the end of July, Caleb and Joshua Bryant joined ten other young members of the Flying Geckoes climbing club in representing the Canterbury region at the National Indoor Lead Climbing competition in Auckland. This was both Joshua and Caleb’s first National competition.

Joshua was competing in the youth B age category and was one of the youngest in his group but still did very well, making it into the finals and placing equal 7^th overall.

Caleb competing in the Youth A category also climbed very well in both the qualifying rounds and finals and took first place bringing home the Gold medal for the Youth A category.

The boys are continuing to train hard and hoping to go on to represent the region in the National Indoor Bouldering competition at Lower Hutt in September
